Giants Fail to Sweep Rockies
Ashley took a half-day off of work on Wednesday and we both went to the series finale of the Giants and the Rockies. There's something awesome about daytime baseball. You could tell by the crowd size though that it was mid-week. Most of the upper deck was empty.
I can think of MUCH worse places to play catch than the sweet visitors bullpen, where you see Buster Posey warming up Giants starting pitcher Matt Cain.
Large fountains in center field.
Aaron Rowand crosses home plate for the Giants first run in the first inning.
Inside pitch to Aubrey Huff.
Giants starter Matt Cain had a rough outing.
Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki tried to lay down a surprise bunt in the first inning.
Reining rookie of the year Buster Posey in the on deck circle.
Tulo on deck as he watches Carlos Gonzalez step into the box.
Some more images from the ballgame.
One of the dangers of sitting so close is that a broken bat can go flying into the seats, as these guys found out.
Still not sure what exactly this is supposed to be. HAHAHA!!
Final out of the game.
We were really hoping to see Brian Wilson pitch, but the Giants got crushed so we were relegated to seeing him walk in from the bullpen.
This is our last Rockies game as an engaged couple! Only a few more weeks to go til Wedding Day!
The stadium emptied pretty quickly since the weather was pretty chilly.

You have quite an impressive zoom lens (that's what she said), or you were sitting pretty close, or both. These shots are great, can't wait for Monterey!
